PryMarke, LLC Developing 2nd Book Regarding Business Performance
"Third Culture Kids and Bilinguals As Employees: A Sustainable Advantage in Hypercompetion?" targets CEOs and HR Executives
LINDEN, MI, June 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Today PryMarke, LLC executives announced the development of a second book concerning business performance in today's globalization. "While developing our first book on cultural variations and contemporary globalism, we somewhat unexpectedly uncovered a huge interest in Third Culture Kids and bilinguals as employees, probably because there is not much literature on them in a business context," said Dr. Bryan Christiansen, PryMarke's president since 2004.
"Although our first book certainly does cover these unique individuals and their role in business performance, this second publication will focus more specifically on how their proper employment can give companies a special advantage in hypercompetition today," said Dr. Christiansen. "Many corporations still do not tap enough into the special talents and skillsets these individuals offer. As such, these organizations lose a sustainable, competitive advantage today. This second book will dicuss precisely what these advantages are, and how they can benefit organizations in the long-term," continued Christiansen.
PryMarke's first book, titled "Cultural Variations and Business Performance: Contemporary Globalism", is being published by IGI Global in Pennsylvania as a Reference book mostly for scholars. The second book is being tailored for a more general business audience. "However, the book could also be used for graduate business students," added Christiansen, a business professor since 2003.
Some potential publishers for the book now being considered include McGraw-Hill, Harvard Business Publishing, SAGE Publishing, Random House, Macmillan, and the University of Alberta Press.
The authors of this second publication include Dr. Christiansen and professors from Canadian, French, and Mexican universities, all who are authorities on Third Culture Kids and Bilinguals. Christiansen himself is highly fluent in Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of Turkish. He grew up in China and Japan after leaving his native USA at age 13, and has worked in 35 countries in multiple languages at the C-level and below. He is now resident in Istanbul, Turkey working on several regional business projects.
