Detroit Young Professionals is bringing together movers and shakers from across Southeast Michigan to honor 10 remarkable innovators and change makers at the 2nd Annual Vanguard Awards.

DETROIT, MI, March 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Detroit Young Professionals is bringing together movers and shakers from across Southeast Michigan to honor 10 remarkable innovators and change makers at the 2nd Annual Vanguard Awards. The event is hosted by Rhonda Walker and will take place on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Amnesia, perched high above downtown Detroit on the 16th floor of the MotorCity Casino Hotel.

Vanguard Award ceremony attendees will enjoy a special networking reception, awards presentation and an after party with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and music by DJ SloPoke. This year's talented award recipients come from diverse backgrounds and areas ranging from a bass guitar tattooist to an electronic audio product engineer. Last year's inaugural award recipient and co-founder of the Midnight Golf Program, Jason I. Malone praises the Vanguard Awards for its commitment to recognizing young professionals and redirecting the path of metro Detroit.
