Investments keep Appia customers ahead of the curve with enhanced redundancy, network security, and sophisticated intrusion protection capabilities.

The upgrade included all of Appia's network operations centers. "We know that the services we provide are essential to our customers," said Victor von Schlegell, Appia's president. "So we took a stem-to-stern look at all of our operations centers to identify any points of vulnerability or opportunities to improve our technology."

The upgrade mainly involved equipment to enhance redundancy and network security. "One by-product of the upgrade is that we are now able to offer our customers sophisticated network intrusion protection," continued von Schlegell. "We expect that future upgrades will have a major security focus, as the threats to our networks and our customers' networks become more complex."
