Cambridge Employee Benefits to Host Corporate Wellness & HR Summit

The summit, which is being held at the Marriott Detroit-Troy Hotel and Banquet Center in Troy, will feature China Miner Gorman the COO of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) as keynote speaker. Gorman will discuss why human resources is critical in today's downturn.

Southeast Michigan employers can learn how to improve their businesses' financial performance and productivity at the summit. Event breakout sessions will discuss topics such as the link between unhealthy employees and increased costs, the risks of downsizing, wellness at any size and industry trends.

The summit starts at 9 a.m on Thursday, May 21, 2009. Over 40 companies that specialize in wellness and employee benefit products and services will be on hand. In addition, attendees will be able to participate in wellness screenings, blood pressure screenings, chair massages, body mass indexing and cancer screenings.
