Covente, LLC Signs Agreement With Costa Rican Firm For New Business Development Services in Turkey
Efforts of US Firms Aimed At Introducing Higher Profit-Margin Industries To Turkey.

DETROIT, MI, April 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Today Covente, LLC, a Michigan corporation established in 2006, formally announced the signing of an agreement for new business development services in Turkey with Xionics, S.A. of San Jose, Costa Rica. Covente provides new business development and corporate training expertise to middle-sized firms wishing to expand or improve operations domestically or internationally in a global economy.

"Many organizations are still trying to increase market share or profitability without considering the effects of globalization upon business decisions", said Bryan Christiansen, PhD, the president for Covente. "We help such organizations by looking at the different factors that contribute to success -- or failure -- in contemporary globalism," continued Dr. Christiansen, who is also a business professor at New York Institute of Technology. Covente mainly targets middle-sized firms in the construction, export-import, information technology, manufacturing, and telecommunications industries worldwide.

Dr. Christiansen said Xionics, S.A. approached his company after the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) was finally ratified by Costa Rica with the USA last year. "We soon discovered many companies in Central America were not adequately prepared to operate effectively under the new circumstances," said Christiansen. Other projects are planned between the two companies in the USA and other countries.

"Xionics, S.A. is a technology optimization firm in Costa Rica that wishes to enter the Turkish market due to its current and future geopolitical importance", said Salomon Gutierrez, managing director for the company. "Entering the USA marketplace is next, despite the current global economic crisis affecting the country and elsewhere", added Gutierrez.

Covente, LLC is working on a major project in Bursa, Turkey, a manufacturing city south of Istanbul. The project aims to introduce higher profit-margin industries to Turkey to replace the ailing textile- and food-processing industries that have experienced severe competition from China and India since 2000. "This project requires everything from export-import facilitation to technology optimization. Xionics, S.A. has chosen us to represent them in Turkey", said Christiansen. Covente is currently considering similar projects in Malaysia and the Ukraine.
